You may be the boss but that doesn’t mean you should do every task to ensure no one gets the credit for it but you. You may want the spotlight and credit but such desires will not get you far in your career and life. You need to understand that all the good things that happens in your organisation cannot be credited to ONLY you.
Staff contribute to the success of the organisation in some way and their contribution and hard work should be acknowledged as well. Learn to share achievements, acknowledge others, praise the worthy and provide accurate credit. Not everything in life is about you – get your head out of the gutter and think of others as well. Tasks are done successfully when done together. Get rid of the ‘me’ mentality and replace it with the ‘we’ or ‘us’.
