Let us try to teach generosity and altruism, because we are born selfish

–  Richard Dawkins

Hey everyone! I just did something nice today and thought I share it with you, to hopefully inspire you to do the same.

Today at uni, I was studying on campus and managed to finish off two weeks of law! Yay! I mean one week was nearly finished but still! Since the shopping mall is nearby, I thought I go visit and get something to eat.

So on my way to the shopping mall, I saw a man around late 50s sitting on the floor with a cup in front of him. I took my wallet out and I think I managed to give him coins adding up to a $1. He was grateful and thanked me. I smiled and went to the mall. I felt like buying something for this man.

He must be hungry. So I went to the nearby convenience store and brought him a packet of twisties which had a reasonable quantity. I brought (pretty sure) the yellow one which was cheese flavoured, they were my favourite so hopefully this man likes it! 🙂

Here is a picture if you are interested in what it looks like haha!

I gave it to him on my way back from the shopping mall and he must be surprised because I don’t think it is normal to be given food. To be given loose cash must be the norm. It was very nice, to help someone – to relieve someone’s hunger for a time. Giving should be given, regardless of the human being or animal.

Whilst we are alive, we need to do good deeds because when we past away, only the good and bad deeds will be taken with us – not material possessions such as land, money, family or anything else.

I hope this post inspired you to help those who need it!

Wish you a pleasant day,
